April 23, 2024“Let’s talk about GenAI!” with Hector Martinez (Rewatch)
May 8, 2024“Let’s talk about GenAI!“ series aims to bring experts in the field of Artificial Intelligence together with educators, teachers, and trainers for informal discussion, Q&A sessions, and resource sharing.
In the fourth session we will discuss the use of AI in the music and art education. What do we mean by ‘AI in art and music education? How can this technology help in the creative and artistic processes? What are the ethical considerations?
All of this (and more) will be covered thanks to our invited speaker – Ashwin Seegobin.
Ashwin Seegobin embraces his multifaceted role in the music industry. Serving as a lead mentor, guiding students through their academic journey into the music world while organizing culture-centric events such as writing camps and masterclasses. In his capacity as a lecturer, he modestly contributed to the development of pioneering academic programs like the first Rap and MC degree, showcasing adaptability and a commitment to innovation.
His collaborative spirit was instrumental in negotiating a partnership between the Academy of Contemporary Music and the University of Trinidad and Tobago, facilitating their inaugural Music Business degree. Remaining ever-curious and open-minded, Ashwin continues to explore the intersections of creativity and technology, particularly as the industry integrates AI. With humility and dedication, he remains focused on nurturing talent and contributing positively to the ever-changing landscape of the music industry
Organised by the GenAIEdu Project and ADA Project.
