We are happy to announce the first ADA WEBINAR!
Title: UMI-Sci-Ed – methodology for implementing STEM educational and training activities using IoT
Date: October 2nd 2023, 14h CET
We will be hearing from Theodor Panagiotakopoulos, Senior Research Fellow at Hellenic Open University, on a methodology for implementing STEM educational and training activities using Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
IoT technologies constitute the next “digital revolution” and they will be everywhere, therefore, it will be necessary to train everyone on how to use and benefit from them; in light of this revolution, digital skills will have to be redefined. During the webinar an introductory level STEM scenario called “Hands on… the IoT” will be presented as a case study.
The scenario can be used in both formal and non-formal educational settings and aims to facilitate the acquisition of basic IoT skills. The scenario focuses on the development of a simple IoT application that improves user experience of recycling by measuring the waste level in a recycle bin and sending the data to the cloud and to the user’s mobile phone.
